This week we examine a pair of posts on the Supercar Blond Site about the price of the Cybertruck. Why ask? Well Elon told everyone it would retail for $40,000 and he missed by a bit. So here’s two interesting posts on that topic.
#1 Man shares full final Cybertruck order receipt and people are blown away
- The Cybertruck is more expensive than originally planned
- The range-topping Cyberbeast starts at $99,990
- A soon-to-be Cybertruck owner explained how easy it is to go over that and spend six figures
“His Cybertruck starts at $102,235 before taxes.
Then you’ve got sales tax, registration fees, license fees and a bunch of other fees for a grand total of $1,295.
When all is said and done, the Cybertruck will cost this owner $113,242.33.”
#2 Finance expert works out how much money you need to make a year to afford to own a Cybertruck
- A TikToker worked out how much you’d have to make to afford the Cybertruck
- The sum varies depending on several factors, but it’s way above the average US salary
- And it gets worse for those who want to repay the Cybertruck in just four years
“At a six percent interest rate, which is pretty average, the Cybertruck would cost $1,294 a month for four years, $1,065 for five years, or $913 a month if you finance it for six years.”
